On the afternoon of November 24, 2018, SGE held 6th Global Touch Series Literal Arts Lectures at Shahe campus. Prof. K. Thomas Wong delivered the lecture in the topic of how to prepare to study abroad . Over 250 students attended the lecture.
At the lecture, Prof. Wong shared his ideas of World University Rankings, and offered the suggestions on how to choose graduate schools and research supervisors, as well as what to do as a 1st-Year / 2nd-Year Undergraduate Students. When it turned to the Q&A session, students actively put forward their confusion and plans, and actively interacted with Prof. Wong. At the end of the lecture, lots of students expressed that they learned a lot about overseas application and had clearer understandings of preparation for the future applications.
Prof. K. Thomas Wong earned his B.S. (engineering) from UCLA, and his Ph.D. (electrical and computer engineering) from Purdue University. He had been a regular faculty member at the Nanyang Technological University, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, University of Waterloo (Canada), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a fellow of the UK’s Institution of the Engineering and Technology. He serves/served on the editorial board of 10 SCI journals, and published over one hundred papers on SCI journals.
