They held recruitment lectures for teachers to promote our school staff and international exchange-related policies. The delegation also included Prof. Wang Yankui, Deputy Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Li Min, Vice Dean of Undergraduate Teaching, Jiang Chongwen, Director of Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Jia Yuhong, Secretary of the Aircraft Department, Prof. Shen Zuojun, Director of Flight Mechanics and Flight Safety School and Prof. Chang Shinan from the Human and Environmental Engineering School.
At TU Delft in the Netherlands, the delegation held a panel discussion with Prof. Rinze Benedictus, Dean of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, and members in charge of international affairs and student affairs. The two sides summarized the achievements made in the past with exchange of students and discussed further promotion of education and research cooperation between the two universities. Both sides agreed and signed the new student exchange agreement, raising the existing quota of 2 exchange students each year to 5 each year. After the symposium, Prof. Wen made a report entitled "China Aerospace Industry and Beihang University" for students and faculty at TU Delft, introducing the rapid development of Beihang University and the outstanding contributions it has made to China's aerospace industry. The report aroused strong interest from teachers and students, and the Dean answered several questions that were raised. The delegation held informal discussions with the alumni of our university and Chinese young scholars of TU Delft and answered questions related to jobs at BUAA.At POLIMI, the delegation held a talk at the Department of Aerospace Science & Technology with Prof. Franco Bernelli, Dean of the Department, and relevant responsible persons. Both sides introduced their departments and reached a consensus on further promoting the cooperation between the two universities and their double-doctoral programs. The delegation members and professors discussed scientific research and personnel training cooperation. They decided to further clarify the research interests which would facilitate the scientific cooperation to promote the dual-doctoral program. At the Department of Energy, the delegation held a discussion with Prof. Fabio Inzoli, Dean of the Department, and relevant persons in charge of the department. After a brief introduction, the two sides discussed issues such as student exchange and teachers' scientific cooperation. Prof. Wen gave a talk titled "Aerospace Engineering in China: Challenges & Opportunities" to teachers and students of POLIMI. It attracted wide participation of teachers and students and young Chinese scholars in the university. Questions related to working at BUAA were answered in great detail.
At UOS, the delegation held talks with Prof. William Dean of the Faculty of Engineering & Environment, Prof. Neil Sandhan, Dean of the Aeronautics and Astronautics Department, Prof. John Shrimpton, Director of the Aeronautics and Astronautics Department, and Dr. Hu Both parties first introduced their research and teaching development and conducted a detailed discussion on the mode of cooperation for undergraduate / Master’s degree programs. The visit of ASE to the three famous universities was supported by the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of BUAA. It is an important part of the school's aim to cultivate international students and the introduction of overseas talents. It successfully promoted the exchange of students and Bachelor and Master's dual degree programs, faculty cooperation in scientific research and other international cooperation projects. BUAA’s overseas talent introduction policy was disseminated and aroused strong interest from overseas scholars.
