School Organization

  • Academician Xu Huibin, the president of BUAA, serves as the director of the management committee of SGE. The vice president Huang Haijun is executive deputy director.

    The first dean of SGE is Prof. Wen Dongsheng, who is the chief professor of the University of Leeds and specially invited experts of the Thousand Talents Plan.

    SGE has an international advisory committee composed of internationally renowned engineering education experts and scholars in related disciplines, an industrial advisory board composed of well-known entrepreneurs from the industry, and an academic committee composed of famous professors in the university.

    SGE sets up general affairs office, teaching affairs office, planning office, students support center and research center.

     

    The main responsibilities of management committee:

    1. To review the medium/long-term development plans of SGE.

    2. To review the annual budget for running school.

    3. To review the annual enrollment major and planned amount of students.

    4. To review the implementation plan of major issues (such as recruitment of international professors, etc.).

    5. To review important documents (such as contracts for international professors, school-running orientation, etc.).

    6. Other.

     

    The main responsibilities of international advisory committee:

    1. To recommend international experts.

    2. To establish cooperation and contact with foreign universities and institutions.

    3. To introduce international advanced educational concepts and teaching methods.

    4. To guide the running of the school macroscopically.

    5. Other.

     

    The main responsibilities of academic committee:

    1. To design the training program for students.

    2. To make the teaching implementation plan of each semester.

    3. To evaluate professors each semester.

    4. To considerate and determine of the appointment of professors.

    5. To make relevant teaching management regulations.

    6. To give suggestions on dealing with teaching accidents and students academic disciplinary violations.

    7. To review the annual work plan of the school.

    8. Other.
